Working for the village of Caversfield
The area of Caversfield has a weight limit of 7.5tonnes (unless access for a local delivery is required).
HGVs are not permitted to use the village as a cut through.
If you spot a HGV which is just driving through, you can report it to Oxfordshire Trading Standards at https://service.oxfordshire.gov.uk/reporthighwaysbreach
It’s always a good idea to take a photograph of the truck as evidence, together with the licence plate details.
The village had a new bus service!
The Bicester Bee which is run by www.abilitycic.org.uk started to operate on 1 July.
There are three routes:
81 – Bicester to Bucknell
82 – Bicester to Finmere
108 – Bicester to Langford Medical Centre
This is the timetable for all three routes
It will operate six days a week with regular services into Bicester Town and Langford Medical Centre with the £2 single journey fare (until 31 December 2024) with the usual concessions available.

We are pleased to announce that the Parish Council has now arranged financial support for a defibrillator for the village.
With kind permission of the MoD, it has been installed on the outside of the Police House at 14 Davis Gardens (what3words: ///routines.ramps.wreck).
This has been provided by the London Hearts Charity with matched funding from County Councillor, Donna Ford’s Localities Fund, and installation provided by the MoD.
We, obviously, hope it is never needed, but if it is, it is now fully available and registered with the South Central Ambulance Service.
As with any defibrillator, once you have dialled 999, the Ambulance call handler will tell you if it is needed, where your nearest appliance is and will give you the access code.
Bicester Heritage will be opening their doors again on Sunday 6 October 2024.
