We understand that the dog bins in the Park haven’t been emptied recently.
This is due to the recent transfer of the responsibility for the Park and some other areas from the USAF to the UK MoD.
We realise that it may be inconvenient for villagers to have to find alternative bins while the MoD makes arrangements for the emptying of the bins but other bins around the village are available. The Parish Council provides two bins on Springfield Road, one on Fringford Road (by the bench) and one on Skimmingdish Lane; alternatively the rubbish can just be put in the normal green rubbish bins.
Villagers should also be reminded that the use of the Park is a privilege and not a right and the MoD is able to close the Park to members of the public should the need arise.
Furthermore, the Parish Council and Cherwell District Council will not tolerate their staff being abused as has happened today.
